“Dawa” is the famous cocktail originally created by the Tamarind Group and being served to clients at all their outlets for over 4 decades. Today we celebrate the  life of Samson Kivelenge “Dr Dawa” who had personally served the signature cocktail to many of us before at the Carnivore! Rest In Peace Samson!

28th July 2020 was a sad day for humanity, The Carnivore and Kenya with the passing of Samson Kivelenge aka Dr Dawa.

Samson was The Carnivore ‘Dawa Doctor ‘ from 1980 until he retired due to ill health in early 2020. His infectious laugh, his energy and his fabulous nature were legendary.

Samson represented The Carnivore and Kenya with huge success at numerous trade shows around the world including World Travel Market London , ITB Berlin , FITUR Madrid, Indaba Durban as well as at the launch of Carnivore Johannesburg and Cairo. Millions of people all over the world will remember his charm and persuasion for ‘treatment’ .

There will never be another original Dr Dawa. Our sympathies to his family and many friends. RIP Samson You are a legend and will never be forgotten.
