The Grilll Shack fast food chain has opened its doors in the Kenyan market. This restaurant was launched at the Westgate Mall. The Grilll shack has entered Kenya through the Simbisa brand. Emphasis was placed on the fact that it will give Kenyans a unique and fantastic meat tasting experience.
Grilll Shack is a brand that was developed in Dubai, the fast food chain has a predominantly meaty menu of steaks, ribs and burgers in a casual dining set up. Nairobi has positioned itself as a good market for multiple multinationals paving way for an increasing number of fast food restaurants to meet this demand.
Grilll shack has increased competition for the big players in the fast food industry in the country. A report by African Business magazine international brands are looking to invest in African consumer markets because there is growth potential in the region.
In recent years to reach a dominant 84% non-African brands account for 84% of the top 100 most admired brands in Africa, and 99.3% of the most valuable brands. Africa has potential for growth and expansion considering the growing middle class.
