Sarova Hotels & Resorts Refurbishment Updates
In 2018 and 2019, Sarova Hotels & Resorts embarked on a refurbishments program at three of our properties; namely, Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa in Mombasa, Sarova Panafric Hotel in Nairobi and Sarova Mara Game Camp in the World famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. We fully completed the refurbishments in Sarova Whitesands earlier this year, and we are committed to completing refurbishments at the other two properties in 2020. We are pleased to provide you with a progress update on the same.
Sarova Mara Game Camp
Our game camp has a total of 75 tents which include Standard, Club and Family Categories. Further to our earlier update on the refurbishment program at the camp, we are pleased to announce that we now have 22 newly constructed deluxe tents (45 square metres). A further seven new deluxe tents are under construction and are due for completion this year. The camps total tents inventory will remain at 75: 23 Standard, 29 Deluxe, 20 Club and 3 two bedroom Family tents
Sarova Panafric
Phase one of the hotel’s refurbishment program commenced in October 2018. Our aim for this pase and the subsequent phases of the refurbishment program remains to reposition the hotel into an elegant and luxurious property, and with its contemporary African interiors showcasing an imaginative use of colors, design, artwork, space and materials. The introduction of the latest user-friendly technology will also be very much a part of the new product
The project is progressing well and is on track for completion before the end of 2020. Phase one will see a complete redesign of 87 existing guest bedrooms, including 3 African themed suites, 9 newly built guest rooms, a new health club and spa, an Executive lounge and Boardroom, a newly developed food & beverage hub and a new conference room The total guest-bedrooms inventory will stand at 176.
Our in-house banqueting and outdoor catering services, meetings and conferencing facilities remain fully operational during the refurbishment. The Flame Tree Restaurant also continues to be fully operational
