Infrastructure at Kijani Ridge

Introduction

Part of Tatu City’s plan is to develop a robust and well set out infrastructure system more so in the residential area of Kijani Ridge.

The master planners of Kijani ridge were cognizant of the fact that, the area will exert quite some pressure on the infrastructure systems due to the sizeable number of families who will be residing there.

Kijani Ridge is thus designed in a way that, the infrastructure systems will be able to sustain the more than 600 families living in there.

Tatu City’s shareholders are investing heavily in infrastructure, including roads, water, sewerage and power.

 

FOCUS ON INFRASTRUCTURE

Kijani Ridge infrastructure development encompasses all services including: roads, power, water supply, storm water drainage, waste water disposal & communications.

Kijani Ridge infrastructure is second to none and Tatu City is committed to deliver to the highest standards.

ROADS

Construction of gravel access roads to Kijani Ridge and the light industrial Precincts is complete. The completed road network will include street lighting, drainage systems,pedestrian walkways and cycle paths.

Installation of power and communications as well as water and sewer connections will be placed underground to add to the aesthetics of the development and provide uninterrupted views and convenience for owners.

POWER

There are existing high voltage power lines running along the Southern boundary of the city. Discussions with suppliers are in progress to ensure adequate and reliable power supply will meet the demands of the development now and in the future.

WATER SUPPLY

Tatu City has secured sufficient potable water supply to meet the needs of the development and will take responsibility for internal reticulation to each plot boundary. Currently, Tatu City has a storage capacity of 5 million litres of water serving the residents to 100% supply. In addition, there are 7 boreholes on site to supplement any additional demand.

SEWER/ SANITATION

Measures to have a proper waste disposal at Kijani Ridge are in place.

 

COMMUNICATION

Several internet service providers already have infrastructure installed within the vicinity of Tatu City. In Kijani Ridge civil works, there is being made provision for connection to this communication infrastructure.
