MKTE 2022 Fam Trips Go Live!
Hosted Buyers for this year’s Magical Kenya Travel Expo are in for a treat. From the end of September, 150 Hosted Buyers will arrive in Nairobi from all around the globe to participate in the annual MKTE. But before they get to the expo, the hosted buyers will be taken around Kenya for a full immersion in the destination.
Kenyan DMCs, properties, and airline partners have come forward with very generous support and innovative experiences to ensure that the international operators and agents have an authentic and inspiring familiarisation trip. These pre-show trips ensure better business value at the expo as the buyers are able to engage meaningfully in their meetings, having experienced the destination for themselves.
Over 70% of the buyers at MKTE 2022 are first-time attendees. These buyers are essential to show ROI for the destination and specifically for MKTE as a flagship event for the region. With the tourism recovery, mature African buyers are also key to re-establishing partnerships with their market.
Fam trip selections are now live. Buyers are choosing their preferred fam trip from a shortlist that has been carefully curated according to grading levels (midrange/luxury) and source markets.
Fam Trips will visit Abedares, Amboseli, Diani, Laikipia, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Malindi, Masai Mara, Meru, Mombasa, Nairobi, Ol Pejeta, Shaba, Taita Hills, Tsavo West and Watamu. The tours will incorporate a range of Kenya’s Signature Experiences.
