Effective November 2020 – We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mehdi Morad as General Manager Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Kenya in addition to his Country General Manager role in Kenya. Within his new role, Mehdi Morad will be responsible for the Operations of three Fairmont properties, namely Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, Fairmont the Norfolk & Fairmont Mara and will continue to report to Chief Operating Officer, India, Middle East & Africa, Marc Descrozaille.

With over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry across Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, Mehdi has held progressive roles with leading hotel companies, including Hyatt hotels, Radisson Hotel Group & Emaar Hospitality Group

He started his successful career 18 years ago with Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile as Assistant to the Director of Revenue. His first appointment as General Manager was in 2010 at the Park Inn by Radisson Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Successive positions soon followed with the Radisson Hotel Group in Russia & Mauritius, with the latter as Cluster General Manager for two resort properties and in 2018, he moved to Dubai in quality of General Manager of the Address Boulevard Hotel. He then joined Accor as General Manager Movenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi and Country General Manager Kenya for Accor in charge of 3 Fairmont Hotels, Ibis Styles and the ongoing projects, namely Pullman and M-Gallery.

Mehdi holds a Master’s Degree in Tourism & Hospitality Administration & Communication from the University of Perpignan in France Mehdi loves community and nature care, he enjoys fishing, wildlife photography and skiing, he is a crowned champion for supporting women in leadership.
