Launched in 2009, Mcensal School of fashion is the top fashion school in Kenya, offering certification from Edexel BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council). BTEC LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN FASHION & CLOTHING QCF
Duration: 1 Year learning
This is a foundation course that enables learners to gain skills in fashion design. Offered in a total of nine units, learners cover:
- Fashion Illustration
- Idea Development
- Pattern Development & Cutting
- Garment Making
- Fashion Marketing
- This is a pre-requisite to take the Higher National Diploma.
BTEC HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN ART & DESIGN (FASHION) RQF
Duration: 2 Years
This is designed to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the creative industries sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. Offered in a total of 13 units learners cover:
- Professional Practice
- Contextual Studies
- Communication in Art & Design
- Computer Aided Design
- Textile Practices
- Pattern Cutting
- Garment Making
- Fashion Collection Realization
SHORT COURSES (IN-HOUSE CERTIFICATE)
Duration: 3 Months
