The recently completed Rhino Charge 2021 was one of the most spectacular events held in Kenya this year. Unlike the World Rally Championship, speed here isn’t of essence. Participants have to endure and conquer one of the world’s trackless terrains before 1730 hrs. The fun bit of this event is that there aren’t any marked or mapped routes! Drivers and navigators have to cover the shortest distance, often flooded with rocks, muddy river beds and swarms of bees, to the preinstalled check points. More than 44 cars made entry to participate in this remarkable event and were required to go through a total of 13 checkpoints (Guard posts) in order to complete the race.
