KWS Honorary Warden Conference 2022 – 27th July 2022

The KWS Honorary Warden Conference 2022 was held on the 27th of July 2022 at the Safari Park Hotel – Nairobi. The theme for this year’s event was Wildlife Conservation Stewardship In The 21st Century. The well-attended event included wildlife conservationists, dignitaries, diplomates, partners and tourism stakeholders.

Director General of Kenya Wildlife Service – KWS Brig. (Rtd.) John M. Waweru, EBS made the welcome remarks. The chief guest was the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Hon. Najib Balala. During the conference Director of legal service, Doreen Mutung’a read out the charter emphasizing on the Honorary Wardern’s roles and duties and responsibilities in conversation. There was also the unveiling of the proposed Honorary Wardens Uniforms.
