Simple, Modern And Engaging
Go Places on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, signed a marketing partnership with IMAX Africa.
The deal was struck at the Anga IMAX Cinema at Diamond Plaza, Highridge between IMAX Africa and Go Places.
IMAX will, therefore, use Go Places Platforms to promote and market their cinemas and movie line up each week. Every week, Go Places will list the movies that are being shown at the cinemas and at what time.
Go Places will also broadcast a trailer of each of these movies so that patrons wishing to watch these movies can pick which movie interests them.
Go Places has been promoting entertainment for the past 27 years. The Chief Executive Officer of Go Places Mansoor Jiwani during the signing of the partnership emphasized that entertainment is an important aspect of Kenya’s social life.
Mr. Jiwani said that he and his family watch a movie on a big screen at least once a week. They also have a team-building with their entire staff once every month to socialize and have some bonding and fun time watching movies. This routine has changed the environment at home as well as in the office.
“Entertainment is an important aspect in our culture and Go Places takes that seriously especially when it comes to movies,” Mr. Jiwani said.
The IMAX Marketing Manager Naomi Mwangi said that it’s an exciting occasion to partner with Go Places as they have a large database and audience.
“This is a good initiative. I have seen the logo in several posters as a sponsor. So I think it is a good move we have made,” Ms. Mwangi said.
Through this partnership Go Places through its loyalty programme, subscribers will be having a monthly Go Places Movie day where members will be treated to movie combos at very special discounted rates. It will be a network opportunity to meet with Go Places Privilege Club members as well as Go Places Merchants once every month.
Subscribers of Go Places Magazine and Newsletter automatically belong to Go Places Privilege Club Programme. The loyalty programme allows subscribers to receive discounts and offers after purchase of goods and services at Preferred Partner Establishments within East Africa.
IMAX Africa, on the other hand, has a state of the art cinemas which have 3D visuals and surround sound effects. IMAX has branches at 20th Century Plaza, Mama Ngina Street, Anga Cinema at Panari Sky and Anga Cinema at Diamond Plaza II in Highridge.
