Yes we mean a thin crunchy crust, an organic puree tomato sauce that covers the base, incorporating the freshest of seasonal ingredients, real Italian cheese ofcourse, and baked to perfection in a traditional wood-fired oven. Well our teams have uncovered a true hidden gem, that not only does it right, but has also recreated a piece of Italy too. THE STORY BEHIND GOGOL’S

Having completed his studies in Fine Arts in Perugia-Italy, Restaurant owner, artist and entrepreneur Nur Ali always dreamt of one day recreating a piece of the old charming city where he would set-up base. A Somalian by birth, with Italian and Finnish roots, when Nur’s living masterpiece was ready to be unveiled – he named it Gogol Pizza – which in Somali means gathering or sharing. What awaits is a décor that truly sweeps you off your feet and into old Italy, complete with its charms, vistas & architectural inspirations.

As the restaurants slogan suggests, ‘Cheese From Italy, Love from Kenya’, and with that pointer in mind – as with any dining experience where everything is made fresh – we recommend you start off with appetizers.

For starters, considering how good they are, we recommend literally anything on the list that piques your interest. Here’s just some of what made our shortlist of favourites; the Rocket Salad (with Goat Cheese & Cashews), the Avacado Salad (with Tuna & Feta), the Burrata, the Caprese (made from real Italian Buffalo Mozzarella), the Bresaola and if you’re in the mood for sharing the playful Focaccia & Dips.

Although Gogol’s has much more to offer, you’re here for their delicious pizza and we recommend; the Napoli (with Anchovies & Capers), the Tonno (with Tuna & Black Olives), the Prosciutto E Funghi (Beef Prosciutto & Garden Mushrooms), the Capricciosa (with Chicken, Mushrooms & Artichokes) and from the international section you simply must try the Pizza Pesto (Pesto, Buffalo Mozzarella & Parmisan Cheese.

For dessert it’s got to be our favourites; the Tiramisu, the Calzoncino (with Nutella & Grated Coconut) or their famous Fruit Salad with Homemade Ice Cream.
