Go Places has on Friday, March 6, 2020, welcomed a new fashion and lifestyle ambassador, high fashion Kenyan model Priyan Solanski.
Priyan will showcase his style on all Go Places platforms. In addition, he will have a column on Go Places Magazine and e-newsletter to advise men on grooming and also share his modeling and fashion expertise with young men.
But just who is Priyan Solanski? He is a 22-year-old with several titles to his name. Priyan is a high fashion model, actor and Pharmaceutical student from the United States International University (USIU).
His young age has not deterred Priyan from pursuing his dreams as he has built an impressive modeling career already. His modeling expertise was recognized by the Kenya Fashion Awards who crowned him as the model of the year in 2018. East FM (Kenyan radio station) also recognized Priyan as the Social Star of the year in 2019.
Priyan also represented Kenya in Poland and brought home the title Mister Supranational Kenya in 2019. He has also been nominated by The Asian Weekly Achievers Awards’ (TAWAA) 2020 as the Best Stylish Male Personality. The TAWAA Awards will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Diamond Plaza 2, Parklands.
However, it has not been easy for Priyan to get to where he is. It has involved a lot of hard work, sweat even as he hits the gym to get the right body and sacrifice as he follows a very strict diet.
Priyan’s parents have also played a great role in his success in modeling. From when he participated in his first runway at the age of 17 years, his parents have continued to support him and encourage him to chase his dreams.
Priyan has also used his talent to inspire and mentor the youth in his community.
“Every one Sunday of the month I go to Shri Satya Sai temple on Waiyaki way for charity or the Thika School for the blind. This gives me a different perspective of life and keeps me grounded and strengthens my will power and self-drive in giving a helping hand to anyone needing help,” Priyan told Go Places in an interview.
Priyan draws his inspiration from the Canadian model and actor Nick Bateman. According to Priyan, Nick has successfully managed to strike a career and family balance, and that is what Priyan is striving to do each and every day.
