MCENSAL SCHOOL OF FASHION PROFILE
Launched in 2009, Mcensal School of fashion is the top fashion school in Kenya, offering certification from Edexel BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council). BTECs are work-related qualifications for students taking their first steps into employment, or for those already in employment and seeking career development opportunities. They provide progression into the workplace directly or via study at university and are also designed to meet employer’s needs.
WHAT WE OFFER
BTEC LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN FASHION & CLOTHING QCF
Duration: 1 Year learning
This is a foundation course that enables learners to gain skills in fashion design. Offered in a total of nine units, learners cover:
- Fashion Illustration
- Idea Development
- Pattern Development & Cutting
- Garment Making
- Fashion Marketing
This is a pre-requisite to take the Higher National Diploma.
BTEC HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN ART & DESIGN (FASHION) RQF
Duration: 2 Years
This is designed to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the creative industries sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. Offered in a total of 13 units learners cover:
- Professional Practice
- Contextual Studies
- Communication in Art & Design
- Computer Aided Design
- Textile Practices
- Pattern Cutting
- Garment Making
- Fashion Collection Realization
SHORT COURSES (IN-HOUSE CERTIFICATE)
Duration: 3 Months
Designed to equip learners with basics in:
