Boma International Hospitality College – Attains ISO 9001:2015 Certification

Boma International Hospitality College

Boma International Hospitality College (BIHC) A Celebration Of Centre of Excellence in Hospitality & Culinary Arts Training Status by Attaining ISO 9001:2015 Certification

At Boma International Hospitality College (BIHC) we sought to continuously improve our offering across all key aspects and this includes adapting international standards of management.

On March 31, 2022, we hosted a celebratory cocktail with Prof. Florence Indede, Chairperson | TVETA Kenya as the chief guest. We also had the honour of hosting the Embassies of Switzerland and Hungary, tourism authorities and over 22 hotel brands.

The celebration highlighted two achievements:

ISO 9001:2015 Certification which recognizes organizations that have put in place a quality management system that:

  • Demonstrates their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and
  • Aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

From our perspective, ISO Certification embodies the adoption of acceptable and respected standards and implies predictability that the quality of education we offer remains consistent, unrivalled and effective. It is worth noting that the ultimate objective of adopting these standards is customer satisfaction, especially in an age where the customer determines quality. This does not just apply to our students but the knowledge and skills we offer them that is translated in industries fully driven by customer experiences.

Centre of Excellence for Hospitality & Culinary Arts Training.

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) upgraded Boma International Hospitality College under Section 20(1) of the TVET Act, 2013 to a Centre of Excellence in Hospitality and Culinary Arts training, the first for Hospitality in Kenya.

BIHC’s upgrading to a Center of Excellence by the Technical and Vocational Education Training Authority reaffirms the trust placed on us by our students, parents, partners even more importantly the government. This trust bestows on us an even greater responsibility in impacting training and shaping a generation fit to exemplify quality service delivery.
