Best Beaches In Seychelles
Seychelles has one of the most beautiful. Indeed, mother nature was quite generous when creating the archipelago of Seychelles. The beauty of the beaches in Seychelles is beyond words and unmatched anywhere else in the world: exquisite ribbons of powdery-soft white sand are lapped by turquoise waters and backed by palm tree-covered hills and big rocky boulders.
Some of the best beaches in Seychelles include:
Beau Vallon, Mahe Island
Known as the base for water sport. It is not only the longest beach but also the most popular beach in Seychelles. It is one of the best beaches for swimming. Its shimmery waters offer an enchanting sunset view which is enhanced by the fishermen selling fresh fish for a lip smacking evening snack. In addition to that, it is suitable with families with children, as there are no strong currents, no rocks or corals underfoot & a lifeguard service is supplied.
Grande Anse, La Digue Island
It is a gorgeous beach found in La Digue Island. It’s surrounded by large granite rocks and featuring white sands, the beach offers exceptional beauty.
Anse Georgette, Praslin Island
Anse Georgette is situated on the grounds of the luxurious Lemuria Resort. Getting to the beach is easy for guests of the Lemuria Resort as the hotel offers golf-cart transfers to Anse Georgette on a frequent basis. The shimmering waters of the ocean, and the offshore corals provide the best snorkeling experience to the tourists.
Anse Intendance, Mahe Island
A wild beach in the Mahe island, Anse Intendance offers spectacular views of crystalline turquoise water on one side and dense flora on the other. Since, there are no coral reefs here, therefore, it is one of the best beaches in Seychelles for surfing. Travelers not intending to indulge in surfing can just sit back and enjoy sunbathing amidst the serene environment of the beach.
Anse Lazio, Praslin Island
It is located in the North Western Coast of Praslin Island and it’s the most famous beach. Surrounded by palm and takamaka trees, with glassy waters, and pearl white sand, it has also been voted as the best beach in the world year after year. The beach is perfect for swimming & snorkeling.
Anse Source D’Argent, La Digue
Anse Source d’Argent is reputed to be the most photographed beach in the world. With its soft white sand, clear turquoise water and huge granite boulders sculptured by the elements and time itself, it is not difficult to see why photographers and film makers still love to come here.
Anse Cocos, La Digue
Those who want to get away from it all may want to head to the hidden gem of Anse Cocos on the eastern coast of La Digue Island. This lovely beach is only accessible by a 30 minute hike, either by taking a path from Grand Anse. Because of its more sheltered aspect, this beach, unlike its neighboring bays of Grand and Petit Anse, is safe for swimmers, but there are still some strong currents, so care does need to be taken.
