The Anniversary of the National Day of The State of Qatar Was Celebrated on Thursday 9th December 2021
The occasion was hosted by H.E Jabor Bin Ali Al-Dosari The Ambassador of the State of Qatar. The dinner reception took place at the Villa Rosa Kempinski
The National Day falls on the 18th of December each year. The slogan for this year was “The Ancestral Meadows: Are a Matter of Trust”. This is a quote from a poem by the founder of the State, Shiekh Jassim bin Muhammad Al Thani. It is a poem that embodies the close connection between Qataris and their simple environment in which they grew up and coexisted with its nature over the years by land and sea.
The Ambassador in his address to the guest indicated that the State of Qatar had achieved many goals in all fields, under the wise leadership of His Highness Shiekh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emit of the State.
The Qatar 2022 World Cup will be held in November, as the first tournament to be held in an Arab and Middle Eastern Country, and it is also considered the first carbon-natural tournament in the history of the World Cup.
The Ambassador was pleased to point out from this platform that all preparations for the Stadiums, Hotels, transportation and other infrastructure have been completed at a rate exceeding 80%.
H.E further went on to point out the fruitful cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Kenya. H.E welcomed the guest of honour Dr Fred Matiangi, Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government and extended special thanks for his outstanding role in strengthening the relationship between the two friendly countries. Kenya has pledged to support the Qatar 2022 World Cup by providing Kenyan security and police officers to contribute to securing the Qatar 2022 World Cup. These officers will be part of the over 40,000 skilled Kenyan workers in the State of Qatar.
The occasion was well attended by most major High Commissioners, Ambassadors, Diplomats and Partners. Guest got an opportunity to network, enjoy the rich Qatari cuisines and one lucky winner won a business class ticket to any destination in the world on the Qatar Airways destination courtesy of Qatar Airways.
Guest also got an opportunity to sign on the football for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
