The Sheba Comfort Has Been Extended Courtesy Of Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian Airlines Group is pleased to announce the extension of the Global Medical Insurance Cover dubbed Sheba Comfort as part of the airline’s extra security measures to protect passengers and ensure that they travel with peace of mind.

The Medical insurance Cover includes repatriation, evacuation, and quarantine costs related to COVID-19 from 1st October 2020 until 30th September 2022.

  • Passengers will have their medical expenses up to EUR 100,000 covered if they are diagnosed with COVID-19 during their travel in addition to quarantine costs up to EUR 150 per day for a maximum of 14 days
  • The Sheba Comfort insurance scheme is valid for 92 days for round trips and 31 days for one-way trips.
  • The cover is included in the Air Ticket thus you do not need to charge a separate fee for this insurance cover.
  • The coverage is applicable on all Ethiopian international flights for all passengers of Ethiopian Airlines (Sheba Miles members and non-members) booked with the airline
  • If a passenger is diagnosed with COVID-19 during travel, outside the home country, and would like to receive assistance, they will need to contact our Assistance Company as soon as possible. Emergency Assistance Line: +44 2 073 057 472

Medical services which have not been authorized by Ethiopian Airlines Covid-19 Sheba Comfort cover, which is managed by our Assistance Company, will not be reimbursed.

*Home country: the country where a passenger resides more than 180 days per tax year.

* Round trip: a trip in which both initial departure country and final arriving country are the same, and all flight legs are booked with Ethiopian Airlines.
