The opening cocktail reception to launching the Thai Food Week at the Sarova Stanley on Friday 15th July 2022.

The evening cocktail was hosted by Sarova Stanley in conjunction with the Royal Thai Embassy. H.E Sasirit Tangulrat Ambassador to the Royal Thai Embassy to Kenya graced the event as the guest of honour. Other invited guests included  Ambassadors to Kenya and diplomates from the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, France, Oman, Ethiopian and United Nations just to name a few as well as loyal Sarova Hotel clients.

The week-long Thai Food Week will be held at the popular award-winning Thai Chi Restaurant from 15th to 23rd July 2022. This will be a culinary journey through authentic Thai Cuisine featuring a special menu and great raffle prizes throughout the week. Thai Chi has been named the most authentic Thai restaurant in East Africa, with its traditional Thai decor and delectable Thai specialities prepared by experienced chefs from Thailand.

Guests at the event got a chance for a sneak preview and sample dishes that will be on the menu at the food week. The Royal Thai Embassy showcased various food products that are available in Kenya to prepare Thai cuisine. Thai culture was also on display with Thai residents in Kenya showing the making of floral garlands that are traditionally worn during important ceremonies as well as artistic fruit and vegetable carvings.

Guests had a chance to win several prizes from the business card draw. prizes included gift packs of food products and dining vouchers. The top prize was a personal dinner invitation with the H.E Sasirit Tangulrat Ambassador of the Royal Thai Embassy to Kenya.
