Drunken Elephant Mara is an owner-run modest safari tented camp in Maasai Mara’s Siana Conservancy 1.5km away from the Sekenani Main Gate, perfect for your Maasai Mara Safari.

The Maasai Mara is a place full of natural drama, a kaleidoscope of colour throughout the year, however between the months of July and October during the Great Wildebeest Migration, it becomes a battlefield between the prey and the predators.
By staying at our tented camp you not only have access to the Great Wildebeest Migration, but also to the numerous bird species present at the camp as well as the Maasai Mara Reserve.
If you are looking for heaven, look no further than our small intimate luxury tented camp, from which you can hear roaring lions and laughing hyenas and the rumbling of an elephant’s tummy as it comes into the camp in the wee hours of the night.
We are a tented camp in the Maasai Mara which allows you to be free to do as you please. If you feel like sleeping in and enjoying the comfort of your safari tent, please do so.
All the tents are elevated and made of multilayered canvas, designed and set for your privacy. With each safari tent having its own verandah, you can enjoy an early morning coffee or sundowner in the evening while keeping your eyes peeled for our resident dik-diks and impalas.
Embrace the magic of staying in a tent while on safari. Enjoy the shadows playing on canvas instead of being shut away behind stone and glass as you drift off to sounds of the surrounding untouched natural surroundings.

Guests have several options to reach the camp. We can arrange for safari with flights from Nairobi Wilson airport, Moi International Airport and Ukunda airstrip or by road Safari which is approximately a 4 hour Kenya safari to our tented camp.
Guests are able to enrich their Kenya Safari Experience by engaging with the local Maasai Community at our Camp fires as well as trips to the Maasai Village.
A holiday in the Maasai Mara cannot be complete without a hot air balloon safari. There is nothing more peaceful and dramatic than drifting over the savannah as the sun peeks over the horizon and floods the land with light.
