Go Places Drive Explores The New Volkswagen Tiguan

Luxury Untold…

The all-new Tiguan is more than just a car; it’s more than just new technologies; it’s more than beauty; it’s a vehicle ready for adventures. And to top it all, it’s now assembled in Kenya

Volkswagen injected a shot of steroids on the standard Volkswagen Tiguan and unleashed the swanky seven seater Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace on March 6, 2020. Living up to its promise of giving Volkswagen Tiguan the much needed grown-up touch, Volkswagen added two extra seats on the new well globally received Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace.

Space

215mm has been added between the front and rear wheels of the standard Tiguan to help accommodate seven seats, while adding some extra boot space when the third row is folded.

Engine

The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace has a two litre turbo charged 132 kilowatt engine mated with a seven-speed automatic transmission and features 4 Motion permanent four-wheel drive.

Driver Aids

Unlike the Standard Tiguan, Allspace boasts of a long list of equipment and driver aids that include; Anti locking Brake System (ABS), Electronic Stability program with counter-steer support (ESP) and Anti-Spin Regulation, among other functions. And it doesn’t stop there, the front-end design and roof rails are slightly different, so as not to be confused with those of the Standard Volkswagen Tiguan. The safety of drivers and passengers features strongly in the specifications of the Tiguan Allspace. There are three point belts in the front with height adjustment and seat-belt tensioner with three key point seat belts for center seat in second row of seat.

Price

There are two trim specifications to choose from with pricing starting from a very competitive 4.5 million (inclusive VAT) for the Trendline, and 5.5 million (inclusive VAT) for the Highline.

Locally-Assembled VW Allspace

On March 10, 2020, DT Dobie launched a locally assembled Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace. Assembled in KVM facility in Thika, Kenya, the Tiguan Allspace became the third German car to be assembled in Kenya after Volkswagen Polo Vivo and Caddy Kombi.

DT Dobie local assembly programme has brought new car ownership within reach of many more Kenyans as  they are attractive and cost-effective alternatives to buying used cars.

Sharing is Caring :)
