Diner en Blanc Happening On 1st Feb 2020

Go Places Digital is the proud media sponsor of the Diner en Blanc event taking place on the 1st of February, 2020. The partnership was signed on 22nd January 2020 by Emmanuel M’Mwirichia, Director & Event Co-ordinator of Casure Concierge Ltd. and Mansoor Jiwani CEO of Go Places 

Diner en Blanc is a dining event that has its origins in France. It was started by Frenchman François Pasquier when he invited a few friends to dinner at the Bois de Boulogne in Paris and asked them to wear white to the event so as to be able to identify each other. The event took on a life of its own after that, being replicated first in New York city by Pasquier’s son before eventually finding its way to all six continents. It remains a social event themed around family and friends coming together and sharing a picnic-style gourmet meal. 

“The high quality of events Go Places has partnered with in the past gives us the confidence to work with them as a media partner,” says Emmanuel M’Mwirichia, Director and Event Co-ordinator of Casure Concierge Ltd., the local franchise owners of Diner en Blanc, Nairobi.

This year’s event is themed “Fam Up!”, and its main aim is to celebrate friends and family. Guests are encouraged to bring along family and friends and to come in large groups. The event will also be celebrating Diner en Blanc’s fifth year in Nairobi. In light of this, the event organizer’s promise to give guests a good time that will involve a funfair, dancing and the cutting of a cake.

As is always the case, the location of the event will remain secret and will only be revealed to the guests minutes before it begins.

There will also be awards for the best-dressed guests, and a surprise performance planned for this year’s event.
