Established in 2015, the Boma International Hospitality College has revolutionized Hospitality education in Kenya and the region. On 15th November 2019, a new journey of a new transformation began with the opening of the BIHC Resource Centre within the Boma Hotel Complex. The new e-learning Resource Centre and lecture rooms equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment, labs and a computer centre are just the first phase and one that will culminate in the construction of the most advanced culinary kitchens in Africa for training in Culinary Arts and Pastry. Opened by the Swiss Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Dr. Ralf Heckner, lauded BIHC significant commitment to world class standards and education with a Swiss touch. 

At just 4 years, the pan-Africa college offering Swiss based hospitality programs has made notable steps recently being nominated for the MICE Awards – Education Institution of the Year among other two institutions at the MICE Global Summit where organizations are feted for innovation, expertise and services levels offered meet global standards.

These small but mighty steps of excellence have attracted students from over 12 nationalities from as far as China, the United States of America to Nigeria and Cameroon and even the small island of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean. This has created a diverse body of influence, appreciation of culture and knowledge exchange at a global spectrum that has proved significant for professional attitude and delivery.
